De Paseo 1996

Lo maravilloso de viajar en Chile es que es tan barato - si no te importa andar en bus y quedarte en un hospedaje, o sea, lo que muchas veces es una casa grande que arrienda cuartos a turistas y otros viajeros. Con mi amiga, Marion Bright, hicimos un paseo para el sur: Puerto Montt y Chiloé. Ella siguió hasta la Torres del Paine, pero yo, siendo hogareña, volví a mi gente en Conce. Aquí vemos una casa típica de palofitos en Castro, Chiloé.

The great thing about travelling in Chile is that it's so cheap - if you don't mind going by bus and staying in an hospedaje, that is, what many times is a large house that rents out rooms to tourists and other travellers. My friend Marion Bright and I took a trip south: Puerto Montt and Chiloe. She went on from there to Torres del Paine, pero I, being the homebody that I am, went back to my peeps in Conce.
