Baño de Vapor

The vegetation around the site was definitely more lush than the roadside greenery. I loved the way you come upon bano de vapor, almost like one might have found it a hundred years ago, albeit minus some overgrowth.

Although the title sounds relaxing, the actual purpose of the steam bath was apparently to purify the body before religious ceremonies.
