Tis the Season


Wow, I guess I've used that title before...

Probably because there's always a season in Japan. The fun thing about Spring through Fall is that every month or so something else is blooming or ripening or just getting bigger. Since the advent of the rainy season, my garden has exploded, and plants that were previously little patches of green are now taking over the whole plot.

Now is the season for ajisai, hydrangeas. They are booming out all over the place in pink, white, blue and purple. Most schools have arrangements here and there of seasonal flowers, so now it's ajisai.
