First Frost

Well, technically Saturday was the first frost, but this morning there was so much frost it looked like it had snowed. And since yesterday we had some precipitation (in the form of rain 'round here), the higher elevations all had a little coating. Especially Ontake-san. As you can see in this panorama stitch I took when I got home from work today. I love where I live!

In a related story, I filled my first two 18-gallon containers of touyu (kerosene) this evening. 3132 yen later, I have a warm room. I'm pretty sure it would have cost me about 2400 last year... BOOOOOOO!
